Ever wondered why Google removes content from its index? Google excludes web pages because they find that not every optimization is good. Some content also does not provide a valuable answer for searchers.
In your continuous attempt to develop a business plan digital marketing, you need to establish an effective digital and online marketing strategy to avoid getting deindexed. In addition, improve your practices to prevent your website from being removed from Google search.
Sneaky Site Redirecting
The chance of getting your URL removed from Google search is likely if Google detects that site redirects show different content than what was initially forwarded from search engines to users. This action is similarly described as cloaking. So when using redirects, confirm that your website will redirect users to an updated website address and a URL containing merged pages.
In digital and online marketing, the practice of using excessive user-generated content is common, especially on platforms that require users to access certain plugins and tools to create accounts. Some known samples of this spam include comment spams on forums or blogs.
Using digital marketing as a service should cover creating quality content for your website. Producing low-quality content is a possible reason to get your content removed from Google. Because irrelevant or plagiarized content published only for the sake of keyword ranking are deemed useless for search, and therefore Google sees no use in keeping it in search results.
Bridge pages, sometimes known as doorway or portal pages, show up in rankings for particular keywords but lead to an identical destination when accessed. These bridge pages are penalized by Google because it only aims to drive traffic to a certain webpage in the process of deceiving users as they search.
Google shared in their 2019 Webspam report that the top three spam trends are user-generated spam, spam on hacked websites, and link spam. In addition, creating suspicious pages on your website that tricks search engines and visitors put risks in getting deindexed by Google.
Google has no tolerance for duplicate content. Copied or plagiarized content are immediately removed from SERPs. It is why it’s important to prioritize creating relevant and valuable content in your business plan for digital marketing. Good content will benefit your website traffic and save you from being removed from Google searches.
Malware and Phishing Setup
Cybercrimes such as malware setup and phishing are banned from Google. Google automatically removes content for malicious web pages, especially if it is used to gain unsolicited access to sensitive information provided by users, corrupt important data, or track the users’ computer activity.
If you want your website to stay in Google searches, do careful research for the SEO techniques you want to adapt to your business plan for digital marketing. Follow Google’s guidelines and avoid having your content excluded from the index.
